So, Let’s start with a brief overview of this amazing set. Shining Legends is a special expansion released during the Sun & Moon Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Released as the third sub-set of the Japanese Sun & Moon Era, it focuses on Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.

Set Information:

  • Is a special 78 card expansion
  • Made available in English on October 6, 2017
  • Its Japanese equivalent, the Strength Expansion Pack Shining Legends is a 82 card subset released on July 15, 2017.
  • Released in Japan to coincide with the twentieth Pokémon movie.
  • The expansion includes several Legendary and Mythical Pokémon that were featured in all the Pokémon movies released at the time.
  • Marked the return of Shining Pokémon to the TCG which were last seen in the Neo Destiny expansion.
  • Like Generations, Shining Legends booster packs could not be purchased separately (were available exclusively in various set-related products, starting with the Shining Legends Elite Trainer Box, as well as the Shining Legends Pin Collections).
  • Each booster pack contains 11 cards, with 2 guaranteed foil cards.
