New additions has been added to Pokemon Go, this time the New I Am Safe Button and the lazy Pokemon Slaking!
I am safe button
Along with the generation three Pokémon, Niantic added a new mechanic in the game that increased the likelihood of certain types of Pokémon appearing in different types of weather, such as fire Pokémon appearing more often on a sunny day. When the game detects that a player is playing Pokémon Go in hazardous weather conditions, however, it disables the weather-related bonuses in-game to discourage players from endangering their lives for rare Pokémon.
The feature has sometimes been inaccurate, however, and players have noticed that the hazardous weather warning struggles to differentiate between normal and dangerous weather patterns. As such, players were losing out on their bonuses in perfect weather conditions.
Pokémon GO players in areas with less-than-ideal weather may be met with an Extreme Weather screen with the following warning message: “Pokémon seem to dislike these conditions. Weather conditions are potentially dangerous – be aware of your surroundings!
Check your local weather service for details.” However, there is now a way to dismiss this warning and continue playing even during potentially dangerous weather. This can be accomplished by clicking the new I am Safe virtual button, as shown in the screenshot above.
Slaking is one of the newest Pokémon that were recently added to Pokémon GO, as part of the immensely-popular mobile game’s latest major update. Slaking lives most of its life asleep, eating only grasses that grow within its reach.
This Pokemon is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves from Vigoroth starting at level 36. It is the final form of Slakoth. Slaking is a large, bulky, ape-like bipedal Pokémon. Most of its shaggy fur is brown, along with the semi-circle patterning under its eyes. Its face, chest, hands, and feet are lighter in color. Its brows are thick and jutting, and it has a large, pink, pig-like nose.
