Flint Revealed From Dragon Storm!

A new Item, Flint, has just been revealed from SM6a Dragon Storm! The set will release in Japan on April 6th! Thanks goes to WPM for the translation.

Flint – Trainer

Discard 2 cards from your hand in order to play this card.

Search your deck for up to 4 [R] Energy, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).

Interestingly, Flint is the name of one of the Elite Four members in Sinnoh. It’s therefore quite possible that the English name of the card will be changed in order to avoid confusion!

Champion Road Booster Box Reveals More EX-Era Reprints!

The booster box for SM6b Champion Road has been released, revealing that the set will contain reprinted illustrations for three EX Ruby & Sapphire era cards: Ludicolo from EX Deoxys, Lanturn from EX Hidden Legends, and Sableye from EX Crystal Guardians!

This set is a callback to the EX days from 2003 to 2006. Champion Road will release in Japan on May 3rd and will contain at least 66 cards. It’s unknown when we’ll get the set in English, although it could be mixed into our August set. Our August set will feature Rayquaza and Generation III Pokemon.

What other notable EX era cards do you think they’ll bring back?

Fairy Rise Announced!

We can confirm Japan will be getting a new mini-set named Fairy Rise on August 3rd!

The set will contain:

  • 50+ cards focusing on Fairy, Grass, and Psychic-types. This is in the same way that SM6a Dragon Storm also contains 50+ cards focusing on Dragon, Fire, and Water-type Pokemon.

Also revealed, Charisma of the Wrecked Sky, which is Japan’s SM7a and will be released on July 6th and contain 60+ cards. We don’t currently know anything about it beyond that.
