Guardians Rising is the second main expansion of cards from the Sun & Moon Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The set continues to feature Generation VII and Pokémon-GX in the card game, with a focus on the guardian deities.

Guardians Rising contains:

  • 169 cards
  • 12 new Pokémon-GX and several Pokémon native to the Alola region.

The Japanese equivalent Islands Await You and Alolan Moonlight each feature 50 cards, with Islands Await You featuring Tapu Koko and Alolan Moonlight featuring Lycanroc.

The English release brings together the release of the two Japanese subsets, the Strength Expansion Pack Sun & Moon, released on January 27, 2017, as well as the remaining cards from the Rockruff Full Power Deck, released on December 15, 2016.

This set was released on May 5th, 2017. So, back to the initial topic. Let’s start discussing about the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards.

10-Fighting Energy

Fighting Energy is the number 7 in the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list. This card was not in the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list made on april so it prices increased greatly like the grass energy mentioned below.

The cost of this card at the moment is $13 

9-Sylveon GX Secret Rare

This card is the number 158 of the guardians rising set. This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret card in this expansion, each artwork of this pretty cards was made by 5ban Graphics.

This amazing card cost: $13 ($30 in April)

8-Alolan Ninetales GX (Secret Rare)

Alolan Ninetales GX Secret rare is one of the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards. The cost of this card is $10 ($25 in April).  So like Sylveon GX this card suffered a great drop in its price.

7- Grass Energy

Grass energy is the number 7 in the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list. This card was not in the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list made on april so it prices increased greatly.

The cost of Grass Energy is: $17

6-Rare Candy

The Rare Candy was introduced as a Trainer card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English EX Series in the EX Sandstorm. Rare Candy was later reclassified in Japanese as an Item card during the LEGEND Era, and was reclassified in English in the Black & White Series (due to the classification not existing until then).

It has been reprinted in the English HeartGold & SoulSilver Series (the Japanese LEGEND Era), the English Black & White Series (the Japanese BW Era), the English XY Series (the Japanese XY Era), and the English Sun & Moon Series (the Japanese Sun & Moon Era).

This card was not included in the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list made on april. So like the grass energy, The rare candy trainer increased in its price to $20

5-Field Blower

Field Blower is an Item card. It was first released as part of the Guardians Rising expansion. This card reads:

Choose up to 2 in any combination of Pokémon Tool cards and Stadium cards in play (yours or your opponent’s) and discard them.

The cost of the field blower at the moment is: $23 ($35 in April).

4-Tapu Lele GX

Tapu Lele has been featured on 3 different cards since it debuted in the Guardians Rising expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Tapu Lele cards are normally Psychic-type or Fairy-type Basic Pokémon.

As you will notice in this Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list, Tapu Lele receives three of the 10 positions so it is a very valuable Pokemon card and very playable too.

This card maintained its prices since April almos exactly at $38 ($37 in April)

3-Tapu Lele Full Art

This card contains the same attack as the previous mention Tapu Lele but it contains an alternative artwork making it more rare and obviously more expensive.

And like the previous Tapu Lele GX this one maintained its price, the cost at the moment is $45 ($48 in April).

2-Double Colorless Energy

The second in our Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list is the Double Colorless Energy which was first included in the Base Set. The artwork of this version released on Guardians Rising was made by Keiji Kinebuchi.
This card is the 166 of 145 in this set. Everyone knows that this card is not only beautiful but also very playable in almost any deck. This card was the most expensive guardian rising card in april but it price decrease so greatly, being the card with the greatest drop in price of all.

The price at the moment is: $49 ($99 in April).

1-Tapu Lele (Secret Rare)

So we reached to the number one in our Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list, which is Tapu Lele. This card is also in the fourth and third position, so if you have it or pull it better take care of it because its prices doesn’t seem to be decreasing too much soon.

The price of the secret rare Tapu Lele is $60 ($70 in April).

As we can see, the overall prices of the cards in this set has decreased because the most expensive card in april was the Double Colorless Energy with a price of almost $100. But many cards like Rare Candy, Grass Energy and Fighting energy saw and increase in prices. While cards like tapu lele gx maintained their prices overall.
