Guardians Rising is the second main expansion of cards from the Sun & Moon Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The set continues to feature Generation VII and Pokémon-GX in the card game, with a focus on the guardian deities.

Guardians Rising contains:
  • 169 cards
  • 12 new Pokémon-GX and several Pokémon native to the Alola region.

The Japanese equivalent Islands Await You and Alolan Moonlight each feature 50 cards, with Islands Await You featuring Tapu Koko and Alolan Moonlight featuring Lycanroc.

The English release brings together the release of the two Japanese subsets, the Strength Expansion Pack Sun & Moon, released on January 27, 2017, as well as the remaining cards from the Rockruff Full Power Deck, released on December 15, 2016.

9-Sylveon GX Secret Rare

This card is the number 158 of the guardians rising set. This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret card in this expansion, each artwork of this pretty cards was made by 5ban Graphics.

Alolan Ninetales GX Secret rare is one of the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards. The cost of this card is $10 ($25 in April).  So like Sylveon GX this card suffered a great drop in its price.

Grass energy is the number 7 in the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list. This card was not in the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list made on april so it prices increased greatly.

6-Rare Candy

The Rare Candy was introduced as a Trainer card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English EX Series in the EX Sandstorm. Rare Candy was later reclassified in Japanese as an Item card during the LEGEND Era, and was reclassified in English in the Black & White Series (due to the classification not existing until then).

It has been reprinted in the English HeartGold & SoulSilver Series (the Japanese LEGEND Era), the English Black & White Series (the Japanese BW Era), the English XY Series (the Japanese XY Era), and the English Sun & Moon Series (the Japanese Sun & Moon Era).

This card was not included in the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list made on april. So like the grass energy, The rare candy trainer increased in its price to $20

Field Blower is an Item card. It was first released as part of the Guardians Rising expansion. This card reads:

Choose up to 2 in any combination of Pokémon Tool cards and Stadium cards in play (yours or your opponent's) and discard them.

The cost of the field blower at the moment is: $23 ($35 in April).

4-Tapu Lele GX

Tapu Lele has been featured on 3 different cards since it debuted in the Guardians Rising expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Tapu Lele cards are normally Psychic-type or Fairy-type Basic Pokémon.

As you will notice in this Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list, Tapu Lele receives three of the 10 positions so it is a very valuable Pokemon card and very playable too.

This card maintained its prices since April almos exactly at $38 ($37 in April)

This card contains the same attack as the previous mention Tapu Lele but it contains an alternative artwork making it more rare and obviously more expensive.

And like the previous Tapu Lele GX this one maintained its price, the cost at the moment is $45 ($48 in April).

The second in our Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list is the Double Colorless Energy which was first included in the Base Set. The artwork of this version released on Guardians Rising was made by Keiji Kinebuchi.

This card is the 166 of 145 in this set. Everyone knows that this card is not only beautiful but also very playable in almost any deck. This card was the most expensive guardian rising card in april but it price decrease so greatly, being the card with the greatest drop in price of all.
The price at the moment is: $49 ($99 in April).

1-Tapu Lele Secret Rare

So we reached to the number one in our Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list, which is Tapu Lele. This card is also in the fourth and third position, so if you have it or pull it better take care of it because its prices doesn't seem to be decreasing too much soon.

The price of the secret rare Tapu Lele is $60 ($70 in April).

As we can see, the overall prices of the cards in this set has decreased because the most expensive card in april was the Double Colorless Energy with a price of almost $100. But many cards like Rare Candy, Grass Energy and Fighting energy saw and increase in prices. While cards like tapu lele gx maintained their prices overall.

 Number 9: Alolan Ninetales GX (Secret) $25

Ninetales is an incredible pokemon that is with us since the beginning at 1999. This time Sun and Moon bring us a special type of ninetales, the Alolan Ninetales that live on a snowy peak that is revered in the Alola region as a holy mountain. They are treated as sacred emissaries, and people meet them with awe and fear. This Pokémon’s personality is extremely gentle, and at times it has helped humans who seem to be in distress. However, it shows no mercy at all to anyone or anything that dares to damage its territory!
The Alolan Ninetales is able to produce ice crystals from the fur that covers its body. It can use these ice crystals to block attacks, or it can form balls of ice with them, which it fires like bullets at opponents. The power of these ice missiles is great enough to pulverize rock! This card cost: $25

Number 7: Decidueye GX (Secret) $33

This card was included as a Regular card in the Sun & Moon expansion with artwork by 5ban Graphics, first released in the Japanese Sun & Moon Starter Set. In Japan, it was reprinted in the Strength Expansion Pack Sun & Moon, with a Full Art and Hyper Rare print also included in the expansion, featuring new artwork by the same artist.
The Hyper Rare print was later included as a Secret card in the Guardians Rising expansion. This is not only an amazing card with a great art but also a very playable one. This  card cost: $33 and is the #5 in our Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards list.

Number 6: Field Blower (Secret) $35

This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art Secret card in the Guardians Rising expansion, first released in the Japanese Islands Await You expansion. Both prints feature artwork by Toyste Beach. This amazing card contains an incredible gold colored style that will be very wanted by many players and by many collectors.

Number 5: Tapu Lele GX (FA, RR) $37

Tapu Lele GX is an amazing Psychic-type Basic Pokémon-GX card, that will be part of the Guardians Rising expansion.This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret card in the Guardians Rising expansion, first released in the Japanese Alolan Moonlight expansion, each with artwork by 5ban Graphics.

Number 4: Aqua Patch (Secret) $38

Aqua Patch is another of the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards an Item card that will be also included in the sun and moon Guardians Rising expansion. This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art Secret card, it was first released in the Japanese Alolan Moonlight expansion. Both prints feature artwork by Toyste Beach the same artist that created the field blower card art.
This card cost: $38

Number 3: Tapu Lele GX (Full Art, SR) $48

This fairy card received the Secret Number of 137, like all of Tapu Lele GX included in Guardians Rising, this secret rare one was created by 5ban Graphics. One amazing fact is that The Ability, Wonder Tag, has an identical effect to Jirachi-EX's ability, Stellar Guidance and that the first attack, Energy Drive, is highly reminiscent of Mewtwo-EX's X Ball and Lugia-EX's Aero Ball.
Tapu Lele-GX's Energy Drive doesn't hit for weakness (which Mewtwo-EX's X Ball did) mainly because it would recreate the "Mewtwo wars" had it done so.
This card cost: $48

Number 2: Tapu Lele GX (Secret, UR) $70

Tapu Lele GX is one of the most playable cards of this set, so no wonder why all of the 3 artworks are included in the Top 10 most expensive cards from Sun and Moon Guardians Rising. This fairy pokemon received the number 155 of 145 of this amazing set.
It was created by 5ban Graphics (read the facts from the previous one tapu lele).
The price of this pretty card is: $70

Number 1: Double Colorless Energy (Secret) $99

The number 1 card in our Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards is the Double Colorless Energy which was first included in the Base Set with artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi, first released in the Japanese Expansion Pack. Its first reprint was in the Base Set 2, which was available only outside Japan.
This amazing and beautiful card receives the secret number of 166 of 145 in this set. Its amazing gold color border and great playability in most of today's decks, makes double colorless energy an amazing addition to any players deck.
The price of this card to this moment is: $99 and is the top one in our list of the Most Expensive Guardians Rising Cards.
