Team Mystic dominates the fifth official Pokémon GO Community Day!

The fifth Pokémon GO Community Day took place on May 19 across the globe for three hours, featuring increased spawns of Charmander in the wild. The latest worldwide event also featured triple catch Stardust and three-hour Lures. Shiny Charmander has made its Pokémon GO debut as well. Naturally, Shiny Charmander evolves into Shiny Charmeleon, which evolves into Shiny Charizard. If any Charmeleon evolved during Community Day hours, Charizard learned the exclusive move Blast Burn. The official timings for the fifth Pokémon GO Community Day were as follows:

  • The Americas and Greenland: May 19, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (PDT)
  • The Asia-Pacific region: May 19, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (JST)
  • Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India: May 19, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (UTC)

A number of community events also took place during yesterday’s Community Day, including at Grey’s Lake in Des Moines, Iowa. For a limited time, there was a special Pokémon GO Community Day story on the App Store on iOS for iPhone and iPad devices. According to Niantic, Team Mystic once again dominated Pokémon GO Community Day by catching the most Pokémon and Charmander per player. This is the team’s fifth time in a row to attain the top spot over Team Instinct and Team Valor.
