Sun & Moon is the name given to the first main expansion of cards from the Sun & Moon Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and many of the most expensive sun and moon cards are so playable and collectible that many players are so hyped with the idea of having them all (even when that is very difficult due to the amount of cards on each set). At the moment 4 expansions has been released ( Guardians Rising, Burning Shadows, Shining Legends, Crimson Invasion). This sets are the first featuring Generation VII and Pokemon-GX in the card game.
Many of this cards features brand new styles and many of them add amazing new features to competitive gameplay making them very expensive. But before you search shops that buy Pokemon cards to get rid of all your shiny gold cards learn more about their prices.
This card is a secret rare and receives the number 162 in the Sun and Moon Burning Shadows expansion. With this card the attacks of the Pokemon this card is attached to do 30 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon-GX or Active Pokemon-EX (before applying Weakness and Resistance). So amazing right?
Choice band cost $30 at the moment!
This goldish", "pinky", "girly and pretty" energy"card is a secret rare card and is the number 169 of the Burning Shadows expansion. The cost at the moment is $38. Yes i'm not wrong $38 dollars for an energy card. So please, if you pulled it, now you know that you need to protect it very well.
#7 Guzma FA (Burning Shadows)
The next position is for the amazing Guzma. For those who live under a rock and don't know Guzma, he is the leader of Team Skull. He is the only character in the games to have the Trainer class Team Skull Boss. He specializes in Bug-type Pokémon.
Guzma was introduced as a Supporter card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Sun & Moon Series (the Japanese Sun & Moon Era). First released in the Japanese Darkness that Consumes Light expansion, it made its debut in English in the Burning Shadows expansion, with the regular print featuring an illustration based on the Ken Sugimori artwork of the character.
It was also released as a Full Art card in the Burning Shadows and Darkness that Consumes Light expansions, with an illustration by Masakazu Fukuda. Guzma allows the player to switch one of the opponent's Benched Pokémon with their Active Pokémon and, in doing so, the player must switch their own Active Pokémon with one of their Benched Pokémon.
The price of this card is $42 dollars!
This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret card in the Guardians Rising expansion, first released in the Japanese Alolan Moonlight expansion, each with artwork by 5ban Graphics. The Regular print was later reprinted as part of the Japanese GX Battle Boost subset.
This amazing card cost $43 and you will notice that it took several positions in the most expensive Sun and Moon Cards list.
In the position number 5 Tapu Lele GX is also taking a place this time in its FA version. The ability of Tapu Lele GX is very interesting, it reads:
When you play this Pokémon from your hand onto your Bench during your turn, you may search your deck for a Supporter card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.
And this card attack is amazing because does 20 damage times the amount of Energy attached to both Active Pokémon. Very similar to many Mewtwo cards, like the example below where Mewtwo EX makes a similar attack but not making 30 damage times the amount of psychic energies attached. So Tapu Lele attack is even better because counts any type of energies, making it even more effective. And as if it was not enough Tapu Lele GX can Heal all damage from 2 of your Benched Pokémon with its GX attack, amazing right? This card cost $44 dollars at the moment!
Double Colorless Energy was the first-released Special Energy card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and as such, is one of the most well-known, especially by older players. It was, until the Team Rocket expansion, the only Energy card that one could only have four of in a deck; however, despite this, it found a great many uses across all kinds of deck archetypes.
This shiny version was released in the Guardians Rising expansion and its cost is $49. Sounds like a lot for an energy card, but this card costed ever more few weeks ago, reaching even $100 in many stores when its availability was not so good!
#3 Ultra Ball (SM Base Set)
Ultra Ball is a very well know Item card that was first released as part of the Dark Explorers expansion. This shiny gold cards has remained in the top 10 position since February when the Sun and Moon base set was released in USA.

The first position is for the amazing, incredible, the best, the alpha and omega (lol everyone knows Charizard is my favorite since 1999) Charizard GX. Every of us know that Charizard was first released on the 1999 Pokemon Base Set and since that date Charizard has took almost every Top 10 most expensive list. It seems like everyone loves it even when its attacks are almost always really bad.
The GX version of Charizard was first released as part of the Burning Shadows expansion. In Japan, this card was released as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and a Secret card in the To Have Seen the Battle Rainbow expansion. All of them feature artwork by 5ban Graphics. The Regular and Secret prints were included in the Burning Shadows expansion, while the Full Art print became a SM Black Star Promo available in the Charizard-GX Premium Collection. A Jumbo version was also included in the collection.
