How many Pokemon are available in Pokemon Go?

Ever since the release of Pokemon Go, our mission has been to Catch em’ all. Not every Pokemon is available out there for you to catch. Let’s have a look at how many Pokemon are in each generation, how many are available and which ones are still missing.

Generation 1

Composed of 151 Pokemon except Mew. From these 150 there are:

  • Farfetch’d
  • Kangaskhan
  • Mr. Mime
  • Tauros[/one_third]

[one_third]Three legendaries:

  • Articuno
  • Zapdos
  • Moltres[/one_third]

[one_third_last]The last one from this generation is only available after an official invitation for an EX-Raid:

  • Mewtwo[/one_third_last]

Generation 2

Composed of 100 Pokemon. Only 98 Pokemon are available at this moment.

  • Smeargle
  • Celebi[/one_third]

[one_third]From these 98; there are two regionals:

  • Heracross
  • Corsola[/one_third]

[one_third_last]Five legendaries:

  • Lugia
  • Raikou
  • Entei
  • Suicune

Generation 3

Composed of 135 Pokemon but only 120 Pokemon are available so far.

That makes a grand total of… 150 + 98 + 120 = 368 available Pokemon in Pokemon Go (including regionals, legendaries and Mewtwo).
